Medgate Connect is a flexible addition to your digital treatment: tests such as blood samples or measurements can be carried out in your pharmacy - without the need to visit a doctor. Depending on the case, the results are analysed directly via live video with a Medgate doctor or in a follow-up appointment as soon as the results are available.
Your Medgate doctor decides that an extended diagnosis is necessary and recommends the Medgate Connect service if there is a pharmacy near you. You will then receive the Medgate Connect prescription and the treatment plan by e-mail or app.
You make an appointment at the pharmacy with one of the pharmacies on the treatment plan and bring your Medgate Connect prescription, your health insurance card and your smartphone (you will need it for the teleconsultation).
Pharmacy staff provide support during the examination and forward the measured values to the doctor in real time. They can make an immediate assessment.
If required, you will immediately receive a doctor's certificate or a prescription which you can fill directly at the pharmacy.

Who can use this service? This service is only available to insured persons with certain insurance models. The costs are covered by the following health insurance companies. Please note that for some insurance models this is a test phase that is not offered on a permanent basis.
Medgate Connect allows you to have medical examinations carried out easily at a participating pharmacy - without having to visit a doctor. If your Medgate doctor considers an examination to be useful during a telephone or video consultation, you can have it carried out directly at a partner pharmacy.

The results of the sensor tests are analysed directly on site by your Medgate doctor Some laboratory tests are analysed directly in the pharmacy - this only takes a few minutes. The costs are covered by the above-mentioned insurance model and billed accordingly.
No, there are no additional costs for Medgate Connect (e.g. cost price at the pharmacy).
